There is a place deep inside your heart that is the very same place that I have within my heart. This sacred space is within all of us, although we usually are unaware of it. This is the place in which I know we can meet.

It is my Soul that intends to whisper to you through these words. If your Soul listens, we will have touched at the very deepest of places.

The outer mind, of course, will analyze and judge, get impatient or temporarily intrigued. This is where we defend our prejudices and preconceptions, guard ourselves and protect the status quo.

Deeper within us is a sense of knowing, that which we often call intuition or a gut feeling. In this place our resistance is challenged and there is the potential for softening and shifting.

Beyond this is the truth within us that cannot be denied. We seldom go here, but the Witness within us always knows. If we can meet in this place, right now, in this breath, everything can change.

Open your heart to this place, in this breath, and let us be as One.

Blessings & Peace, Bhavaji
A great entrepreneur was vacationing on a tropical island when he came upon a fisherman pulling his boat to shore in the warm, blue waters.

“How many fish did you catch?” the curious entrepreneur inquired.

“Just this one,” said the fisherman, holding up a large, beautiful fish.

“How long long did it take you top catch it?” the entrepreneur asked.

“Not long,” the fisherman replied, “I don’t watch the time... less than an hour, I suppose.”

The entrepreneur wanted to know what else the fisherman did with his day, and was shocked to learn he spent most of his time strolling the beach, playing with his children, sitting beneath the coconut palms and enjoying the sunset every evening.

“Why not catch more fish?” said the entrepreneur, somewhat dismissively.

“This is all my family needs,” the fisherman softly replied.

“But if you hired a few of these lazy islanders around here, got a loan, bought a few more boats and worked all day you could make some good money. In time, if you worked really hard, you could sell a lot of fish, pay back the loan and make enough to retire!”

“Ah, yes, thank you for the great idea” whispered the fisherman with a smile, “then I could afford to spend more time with my family, stroll the beach, sit beneath the palms and watch the sunset!”

Blessings & Peace, Bhavaji
Listen.

What do you hear? What is the tenor of the shifting sound of now?

Notice the most distant noises. No need to identify them. Just listen.

Then become aware of the closer resonance. The immediate sounds around you.

Now delve into your interior spaces, hearing the subtle sound of your breath... The beat of your heart.

Can you hear the universe?

It is softly chanting an endless stream of OM.

Then expand it back.

The sound around you.

The more distant din.

Can you hear the universe?

It is softly chanting an endless stream of OM.

Blessings & Peace, Bhavaji
Consider turning all the lights off one afternoon. Let the dark come in its full nature. Pay attention to how it feels - shadows shifting, corners darkening, night falling.

Light candles. Bathe yourself in their gentle glow. Open to what the evening has to offer... Its silent symphony of awareness. Speak in subtle whispers or - better yet - not at all.

Feel the presence of ancestors and ancient souls. Listen for messages from the Divine. Then allow sleep to slip in and embrace you until the morning light.

Blessings & Peace, Bhavaji
We all have a deep longing in our souls to live our truth. There is an amazing, creative, unique expression of you alive in the deepest reaches of your being. You have special talents and rare gifts that are yours alone. There is a path in this life that exists just for you... a path that awaits your footsteps each and every day. This is your Dharma.

The contemplative practices of Yoga guide us towards the discovery of our path. Yoga also empowers us to move towards this truth, to access our innate courage, make the shift and align our lives with our Dharma.

Take some quiet time. Ask deeply, who am I? What is my journey? What fulfills me? What is my Dharma. Once the answer arises, make a commitment to your Soul. Live your truth. Be who you were always meant to be.

Blessings & Peace, Bhavaji
